This research aims to describe the form of cynicism in the novel Gendut? Siapa Takut! by Alnira and the form of body shaming in the novel Gendut? Siapa Takut! by Alnira. This research is descriptive qualitative research. This research is called descriptive qualitative research because the data obtained will be described and analyzed in the form of descriptions and words, not numbers. The data collection techniques used in this research are documentation techniques and note-taking techniques. The way to obtain data is by reading and sorting sentences or expressions that contain language styles that are appropriate to the research problem. The data in this research are words, phrases, clauses and sentence forms. The language style of cynicism consists of two forms, namely harsh satirical cynicism and subtle satirical cynicism in the novel Gendut? Siapa Takut! The results obtained from this research show two forms of cynicism in the novel Gendut? Siapa Takut! There are two forms of cynicism, including subtle cynicism and harsh satirical cynicism. As for the forms of body shaming found in the novel Gendut? Siapa Takut! by Alnira include fat shaming and skinny shaming. Keywords: cynicism style, novels, gendut? siapa takut!
