This research was conducted in Pangkalan Jambi Village, Bukit Batu District, Bengkalis Regency, with the aim of finding out healing traditions in social spaces that utilize the ethno-botanical flora of the estuarine mangrove ecosystem and the meaning of using the ethno-botanical flora of the estuarine mangrove ecosystem in traditional medicine. This research used a descriptive qualitative method by taking 6 subjects as subjects. In determining the subjects of this research, purposive sampling techniques were used and data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The theories used are cultural value orientation theory and meaning theory. The results of research in the field can be concluded that the use of parts of the ethno-botanical flora of mangroves as treatment includes reciting prayers and blessings when you want to use medicine from parts of the mangrove flora, with the aim of asking for healing from all diseases, there are no special processions and traditions carried out in this area. this treatment. Drug use can also be done at any time and anywhere, there are no restrictions at certain times. The activities carried out in this treatment include those that can be used at home and in the mangrove ecosystem. People believe that mangrove flora have strong medicinal properties and are useful for treating various diseases. Treatment from the flora of the mangrove ecosystem has become local wisdom in this region, this treatment has also become a cultural heritage and is still continued to this day. The meaning of the mangrove ecosystem is that it can be used as a space for socialization and a place for education, as well as maintaining traditional healing traditions so that they remain passed down from generation to generation as well as processing the use of mangrove flora to make UMKM products.
