Abstract: This research is motivated by the reality in the field, namely that it is known that some students at Telkom Pekanbaru Middle School in class IX still have a negative attitude towards learning Indonesian. Such as not being enthusiastic about learning Indonesian, considering learning Indonesian as unimportant, apart from that, not having a sense of pride, lacking a sense of responsibility and tending to be disrespectful. This arises due to students' negative perceptions of learning Indonesian. The aims of the research are (1) To describe students' learning attitudes in terms of the affective aspect in learning Indonesian in class IX students at Telkom Pekanbaru Middle School (2) To describe students' learning attitudes in terms of the conative aspect in learning Indonesian in class IX students at Telkom Pekanbaru Middle School. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The population of this study were all class IX students at Telkom Middle School. The sample was selected using total sampling technique. Data collection techniques use observation and documentation. The analysis technique used to assess student attitudes is to calculate the average answer based on the score of each answer from the respondent. The results obtained from this research are in the "good" category, although some students also gave "not good" responses.
