It is undeniable that the role of electrical energy is very important in people's lives in the current era of globalization. Therefore, to keep up with the rapid increase in electricity demand, it must be followed by improvements in the quality and reliability of the electrical energy produced. One that plays an important role in the distribution of electrical power is the transformer. In order for the transformer to operate properly and can be used according to the expected period of time, the installation and maintenance of the transformer must be in accordance with established standards. One that affects the condition of the transformer is the heat that arises due to loading. The purpose of this study is the effect of loading on the age of power transformers and knowing the shrinkage of transformer life and the remaining life of the transformer. The results showed that the power transformer located in the city of Pekanbaru which has an average temperature of around 30oC, so it should not be loaded above 91% of the transformer power rating because it will experience a very large life shrinkage. From the results of the calculation of forecasting the remaining life of the transformer it can be seen that in 2024 the LWBP loading of the transformer is 52,77% and the WBP loading of the transformer is 56,27% so that the remaining life of the transformer exceeds 20 years and the LWBP loading of the transformer in 2035 is 155,95% and the WBP loading of the transformer is 162,37% with the remaining life of the transformer is 13 hours.
