Analisis Pengaruh Pemakaian Klorin Dioksida Dan Hidrogen Peroksida Terhadap Brightness Dan Viskositas Dissolving Pulp Pada Tahap Bleaching Fiberline 2
Brightness and viscosity of dissolving pulp are crucial parameters in determining the quality of dissolving pulp product, representing the brightness and strength of cellulose fibers in the pulp. Brightness of dissolving pulp is maintained >70%ISO in the D0 bleaching stage and 80%ISO-83%ISO in the Peroxide Oxidation extraction (EOP) stage, with the viscosity of dissolving pulp expected to be 500 20 dm3/kg. The research aims to analyze the impact of using chlorine dioxide (ClO2), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), temperature, pH, and tower level on the brightness and viscosity of dissolving pulp in the D0 and EOP bleaching stages. The analysis of the process parameters’s effect on brightness and viscosity was done using coefficient of determination tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis tests. The result of the coefficient of determination analysis show that the process parameters at the D0 bleaching stage, namely temperature, pH, tower level, and ClO2 dosage contribute 97,7% to the brightness of dissolving pulp at the D0 bleaching stage and 89,7% to the viscosity of dissolving pulp at the EOP stage. The result of the coefficient of determination analysis show that the process parameters at the EOP stage, namely temperature, pH, tower level, and H2O2 dosage contribute 94,5% to the brightness of dissolving pulp at the EOP stage and 97,7% to the viscosity of dissolving pulp at EOP stage. The F-test result show that the process parameters at the D0 and EOP stages have a simultaneous effect on the brightness and viscosity of dissolving pulp. The t-test result show that the parameters of temperature, pH, tower level, and H2O2 dosage have a significant effect on the brightness and viscosity of dissolving pulp, whereas ClO2 dosage doesn’t have a significant effect on the brightness and viscosity of dissolving pulp.
