Pengaruh Penambahan Polymer Terhadap Consistency Sludge Yang Dihasilkan
Polymer is a macromolecule formed from a number of small molecules that are bonded together. The small molecules that form these polymers are referred to as monomers, while the reaction that occurs is called a polymerization reaction. PT RAPP uses polymers as an ingredient in the waste treatment process that can create flocs in the waste. The use of flocculants with polymers can be an effective solution to overcome parameters that do not meet health standards in water treatment. Sludge is the amount of solid concentration in the liquid medium. Sludge refers to solid or semi-solid sediment formed from a mixture of liquid and solid waste, such as in wastewater treatment or industrial waste treatment processes. For this reason, we must know the effect of using polymers on the sludge produced and know the consistency of the sludge produced. From the results of the analysis carried out, the polymer is able to make the consistency of sludge increase from the initial consistency of 1% to ± 20-30% where this makes the use of polymers very helpful in the dewatering process carried out at the factory and the addition of polymers can also make the waste treatment process efficient in the pressing process using Beltpress tools.
