Pengembangan Komik Matematika Untuk Memfasilitasi Kemampuan Literasi Matematis Pada Materi Bentuk Aljabar Siswa Smp
This research is motivated by the importance of mathematical literacy skills for students. Mathematical literacy is a basic ability that students must have, but in reality students' mathematical literacy abilities are still relatively low. This can be seen from several previous studies, researchers' interviews with mathematics teachers in several schools as well as test results with mathematical literacy questions carried out by researchers. The solution to improving students' mathematical literacy skills is to develop mathematical comics. Several previous studies have explained that mathematics comics can have a good influence on improving students' mathematical literacy skills. Based on this, this research aims to develop mathematics comics to facilitate students' valid and practical mathematical literacy skills.
The development of this mathematical comic uses the ADDIE development model which consists of analysis, planning, development, implementation and evaluation. The mathematics comic developed was validated by 3 user validators who were then tested on a small group of 9 students and a large group of 30 students. The instruments used in data collection in this research consisted of media expert validation sheets, material expert validation sheets and student response questionnaires.
The results of the analysis include (a) performance analysis, namely conducting interviews with several teachers regarding students' mathematical literacy abilities and the media used. It was found that students' mathematical literacy abilities were still low and teachers did not use a variety of media in learning activities, (b) analysis students, namely carried out by conducting observations and interviews with students regarding students' mathematical literacy abilities, it was found that students still experienced difficulties in solving mathematics problems, (c) analysis of learning material, namely identifying, detailing and compiling algebraic material in the 2013 curriculum in a relevant manner (d) The objective analysis consists of recognizing the algebraic form of contextual problems, explaining the meaning of variables, constants, terms and similar terms, observing and calculating the addition and subtraction of algebraic forms, observing and calculating the multiplication of algebraic forms, observing and calculating the division of algebraic forms. and applying arithmetic operations in algebraic forms to solve problems in contextual problems. The planning stage (Design) is a researcher's activity in designing mathematical

comics by creating learning material designs, mathematical comic format designs, mathematical comic story designs, and mathematical comic appearance designs.
In the development stage, the validation results on the mathematics comic meet the valid criteria. The validation scores from mathematics comic material experts reached an average of 83.81% and the validation scores from mathematics comic media experts met valid criteria with an average score of 79.91%. In the implementation stage, mathematics comics that have been declared valid are tested on small groups to determine the readability of mathematics comics. The results of the data analysis obtained met the very practical criteria with an average score of 89.88%. Next, the mathematics comic which had been revised based on suggestions from students was tested again with students in large groups. The practicality results through the student response questionnaire met the very practical criteria with an average score of 90.83%. Thus it can be concluded that the mathematical comics developed are practical. The evaluation stage was carried out based on questionnaires, interviews and field notes in order to correct deficiencies in the mathematical comics being developed.
This development research has produced mathematical comics in algebraic form to facilitate students' mathematical literacy skills that are valid and practical for use in the learning process.
