Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Peserta Didik Fase D Kelas Vii4 Smp Negeri 35 Pekanbaru
This study aims to improve the mathematical problem solving ability of students using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the material of linear equations and inequalities of one variable. The research subjects were students of class VII4 SMP Negeri 35 Pekanbaru in the 2023/2024 academic year. This Classroom Action Research (PTK) was carried out in two cycles, namely cycle 1 and cycle 2, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research instrument used was the independent curriculum teaching module and data collection instruments in the form of KPMM tests and observation sheets. In analysing the data, descriptive narrative and statistical analysis techniques were used. The result of this study is that the implementation of PBL succeeded in reconstructing the learning process for the better and was able to increase students' KPMM from 66.75 (cycle 1) to 90.45 (cycle 2). So, the application of the PBL model has the potential to improve learning activities and be able to develop KPMM in phase D students of class VII4 SMP Negeri 35 Pekanbaru in the academic year 2023/2024 even semester.
