ABSTRACT
Parental participation is an attitude regarding parents holding certain positions in family institutions which function as caregivers, mentors and educators for children. Maghrib reciting the Koran is a religious activity designed to help students improve their ability to read the Koran. The purpose of this research is to determine the implementation of the Maghrib Recitation of the Al-Qur’an Program and to determine the factors that influence parent participation in the Maghrib Recitation of the Al-Qur’an Program at TPQ Khairuddin Kelurahan Pangkalan Kerinci Timur Kecamatan Pangkalan Kerinci Kabupaten Pelalawan. This research descriptive quantitative research. The result of this study show that parent participation in the Maghrib Koran Recitation program is included in the good category. Meanwhile, by carrying out path analysis, it was found that there are 2 possibilities, namely direct an indirect influence. In this research, through the result of data processing, it was found that the indirect influence was greater than the direct influence. The direct influence given by variable factors through variable parental participation on maghrib koran recitation program is only 0.081. Furthermore, the indirect influence given by variable factors through the parent participation variable on the Maghrib Koran recitation program is 0.256. So it can be concluded that in the research the factors that influence parent participation in the Maghrib Koran program at TPQ Khairuddin, have bigger indirect factors that influence parent participation in the Maghrib Koran program.
