ABSTRACT
This research was conducted in Pinang Sebatang Timur village, tualang subdistrict, Siak district, which aims to fetermine the behavior of house wife traders in improving the family economy and trading strategies in housewives businesses in Pinang Sebatang Timur village. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods by taking 5 informants. The theory used is social action theory. This research aims to describe the trading strategies and behavior of housewife traders in Pinang Sebatang Timur village, Tualang subdistrict, Siak district. Where housewife traders improve product quality, improve service quality, utilize family members, reduce inventory, add new menus. Apart from promoting online, they also promote by word of mouth and bild good relationships with buyers of custumers. This research uses data collection techniques using data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation techniques. The result of research on trading strategies in housewives businesses are three strategies, namely active strategies, passive strategies and network strategies. Of these three strategies, the most dominant one used by housewives is the quality of goods improving the quality of services and looking for income or side work.
