Banana is a member of genus Musa, family Musaceae which has high diversity and is widely used in the worldwide, including in Kecamatan Perhentian Raja District, Kabupaten Kampar. However, studies of the genetic diversity of banana plants are still limited. Therefore, the aim of this research was to analyze the diversity of banana germplams in Perhentian Raja District Kampar Regency based on morphological characters and SCAR molecular markers linked to resistance to Fusarium wilt disease. The potential of banana resistance against Foc TR4 was analyzed using two primers, namely ScaU1001 and ScaS0901. Results of the study revealed that five banana genotypes in this study showed five different morphological characteristics. The SCAR marker ScaS0901 was amplified by three of five genotypes while ScaU1001 primer failed to amplify all five genotypes. This result suggested that three genotypes (merah, nangka, cere) demonstrated partial resistance against Foc TR4 and two others genotype were susceptible to Foc TR4.
