The Influence of Employability Skills on the Job Readiness of
Community Education Students Class of 2020, Faculty of

The aims of this research are 1) To determine and analyze the level of Employability Skills of Community Education Students Class of 2020, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Riau University, 2) To determine and analyze the level of Work Readiness of Community Education Students Class of 2020, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Riau, 3) To find out how much influence Employability Skills has on the Work Readiness of Community Education Students Class of 2020, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Riau.
This type of research is ex-post facto, namely a type of research where the independent variable is an event that has already happened, with a quantitative approach. The population in this study was 59 Community Education Students Class of 2020. The sampling technique is Simple Random Sampling. The research sample based on calculation results using the Slovin formula and using an error rate of 5% was obtained as many as 52 people.
The data collection method in this research is: 1) documentation, 2) observation, 3) questionnaire. The research instrument consists of two forms of questionnaire consisting of: 1) Employability Skills, 2) Work Readiness. The research instrument goes through several stages, namely: 1) reviewing all theories related to the variables to be studied, 2) compiling indicators for each variable, 3) compiling a grid, 4) compiling statement items and determine the measurement scale, 5) test the instrument, 6) analyze the items by testing the validity and reliability of each statement item.
The data in this research were analyzed using descriptive data analysis, hypothesis testing, looking for the influence of employability skills variables on work readiness. Based on the analysis of demographic factors of student employability skills respondents, high results were obtained, namely with a mean of 3.77. This proves that demographic factors (gender, high school origin, father/guardian's occupation) can determine the level of employability skills. Then, descriptive analysis based on indicators obtained the level of student employability skills with a mean of 3.79 which is in the high interpretation.
Based on the analysis of demographic factors of student work readiness respondents, high results were obtained, namely with a mean of 3.75. This proves that demographic factors (gender, high school origin, father/guardian's occupation) can determine the level of work readiness. Then, descriptive analysis based on indicators obtained the level of student work readiness with a mean of 3.78 which is in the high interpretation. It was found that there was a significant influence between the variable employability skills (X) on work readiness (Y) of
Public Education students class of 2020, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Riau University, with a large influence of 20% with a low interpretation, because there was still 80% determined by other factors that not part of this research.
