Persepsi Mahasiswa Fisip Unri Tentang Fenomena Victim Blaming

The perception of FISIP UNRI students on the phenomenon of victim blaming. This research was conducted at Universitas Riau, Bina Widya Campus, Jl. H.R Soebrantas, Pekanbaru, Riau. The purpose of this research is to determine the perception of FISIP students towards the phenomenon of blaming victims and to determine the response of FISIP students towards the phenomenon of blaming victims. This research uses perception theory proposed by Sarwono, deviant behavior theory by Gillin and Gillin, as well as victim blaming attitude theories such as the just-world hypothesis, attribution error, and invulnerability theory. From the analysis results in this study, it can be concluded regarding the perception of students towards the phenomenon of victim blaming is not supported, because they prefer to support the victims and the positive response from students rejecting victim blaming includes various actions and attitudes that support victims and condemn the practice of degrading or accusing them of crimes or violations they experience.
