Ekosistem Mangrove Estuari Sebagai Ruang Sosial Di Desa Pangkalan Jambi Kecamatan Bukit Batu Kabupaten Bengkalis

This research was conducted in Pangkalan Jambi Village, Bukit Batu District, Bengkalis Regency with the aim of knowing the mangrove estuary ecosystem as a social space. This research used a descriptive qualitative method by taking 6 subjects as subjects. In determining the subjects of this research, accidental sampling techniques were used and data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The theory used is Symbolic Interaction theory. The results of research in the field can be concluded that the mangrove estuary ecosystem area in Pangkalan Jambi can be an effective way as a social space. Visitors can relax, interact socially, and appreciate the mangrove environment through activities such as walking around, resting, taking photos, and socializing. The importance of protecting the mangrove environment was emphasized, including not destroying it, keeping it clean, and being responsible when visiting. Awareness of environmental conservation and social responsibility is needed to maintain the sustainability of the mangrove ecosystem and community welfare.
