Uji Stabilitas Hasil Genotipe Cabai Keriting (Capsicum Annuum L.) Di Lahan Gambut
This study aims to determine the effect of genotype × environment interaction on curly chili plants in two peat soil locations and determine the stability and adaptability of curly chili varieties and strains based on Finlay and Wilkinson. This study used a group randomized design with 4 genotypes and 3 replications, so there were 12 experimental units per location conducted in two different locations. Each experimental unit consisted of 20 plants and 10 plants were taken as samples. The data obtained were analyzed by stability analysis of Finlay and Wilkinson (1963) method and further tested using 5% BNJ test. The results of the analysis of variance of curly chili showed that the interaction of genotype x environment had a very significant effect on the characters of weight per fruit and fruit weight per plant. Genotypes have a very significant effect on the characters of dichotomous height, plant height, fruit stalk length, fruit diameter, weight per fruit and number of fruits per plant. Genotypes tested in two locations showed diverse results. Based on Finlay and Wilkinson 1963 stability analysis, genotype CG46 is a stable genotype with special adaptability in certain environments with high productivity, namely genotype CG46 in Kampar. While genotypes CG33 (Laris), CG34 (Kastilo) and CG34 are static stable genotypes with low adaptability to all environments.
