This research aims to analyze the reasons for people's behavior in still using river water and people's efforts to get other water sources apart from rivers. There are several factors that cause people to still use river water for their daily needs, namely knowledge, attitudes, availability of information, availability of public facilities, indicators of support from community leaders and several other indicators. This research was conducted in Kuala Canal Village, Pangkalan Kerinci District. To obtain research results the author used the Quantitative Descriptive method. Determining the sample size was by using the Arikunto theory sampling method, namely 30% of the total population so that a sample of 36 heads of families was obtained. Data collection techniques through questionnaires and documentation carried out by researchers to the community as samples. The data obtained was then processed using SPSS software version 27. Based on the results of respondents' responses through distributing questionnaires, the results of this research show that respondents' responses regarding river use and community behavior in river use are quite high as seen from the results of respondents' answers.
