The Effect Of Using Animation Movies On Junior High School Students’ Vocabulary Knowledge
This research aims to determine the significant effect of using animation movies on junior high school students. The subjects of this study were second-grade students in class VIII-1 at SMP N 1 Singingi. A quantitative research by using pre – pre - experimental research design methodology was employed. Data were collected through documentation and vocabulary tests. The study revealed a notable increase in the average score from 29.88 of pre – test to 69.71 of post – test after learning with animation movies. Then the data obtained from pre-test and post-test were analyzed by SPSS version 26.0. The hypothesis was conducted using Paired Sample Test. The results of the data analysis showed T-test was greater than the t table with a significance level of 5%. The significance level is 8.507 > 2.022. Researchers used these results to answer the research question "Is there a significant influence of the use of animation movies on the vocabulary knowledge of second grade junior high school students at SMP N 1 Singingi?" It means that the Ha (alternative hypothesis) is accepted and the Ho (null hypothesis) is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of animation movies have a significant positive impact on increasing students' vocabulary knowledge..
