Perbedaan Kemampuan Membaca Pemahaman Siswa Kelas Xi Ipa Dan Kelas Xi IPS Di SMA Negeri 1 Kuantan Hilir Seberang
This study aims to describe the level of reading comprehension ability of class XI IPA and IPS students and examine whether there are differences between the two majors. This research uses a comparative quantitative research approach. The sample studied in this research was class XI IPA 47 students and IPS 51 students, so the total sample was 98 students. This data was obtained from the results of filling out a questionnaire and analyzed using statistical techniques with the help of the SPSS 25 program. The results of this research show that (1) the reading comprehension ability of class XI IPA students is that the maximum score achieved is 85,00 and the minimum score is 35,00. The average reading comprehension score for science students is 55, which is in the very low category. (2) the reading comprehension ability of class XI IPS students, namely the maximum score achieved is 82,50 and the minimum score is 15,00. The average reading comprehension score for class XI IPS students is 44,65and is in the very low category. (3) it can be concluded that the reading comprehension ability of class XI IPA students is higher than the reading comprehension ability of class Hypothesis testing proves that the significance value is 0,00
