Unjuk Kerja Organic Rankine Cycle Berkapasitas 560 Watt Dengan Bahan Bakar Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit

This study discusses the Performance of Organic Rankine Cycle with a Capacity of 560 Watts with Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunches. ORC is a modification of the conventional rankine cycle, where in ORC the working fluid is an organic fluid or refrigerant which has a low boiling point, so that at low temperatures it is capable of producing steam. The working fluid used is R134a obtained from references to previous studies. Biomass is an organic material produced from the process of photosynthesis and empty oil palm fruit bunches is one of the biomass that has the potential to be used as a renewable energy source. Experiments were carried out by varying the turbine inlet pressure 10 bar, 11 bar, 12 bar and AFR 2.7, AFR 3.1, and 3.4. From the experimental results obtained a maximum efficiency of 3.20% at the turbine inlet pressure variation of 12 bar.
