Optimalisasi Kinerja Jaringan Menggunakan Metode Equal Cost Multi Path (Ecmp) Di Kantor Badan Pendapatan Daerah (Bapenda) Kota Pekanbaru

The internet network is used by various agencies to increase work effectiveness, one of which is Bapenda Kota Pekanbaru. However, in reality, this network performance can experience problems. The problem that often occurs at Bapenda is network disconnection due to overload on the network system. When this happens, the internet backup link is redirected manually, requiring an administrator to redirect the internet network. Therefore, to optimize the internet network in Bapenda Pekanbaru, a Load Balancing Technique was implemented using the ECMP (Equal Cost Multi Path) Method to manage packet routes through several paths that have the same routing value. The Load Balancing technique using the ECMP method is implemented using one of the gateways from one of the active ISPs. As soon as one of the gateways from an ISP is Uncable or disconnected, check-gateway will deactivate the gateway and use the gateway that is still active. If both ISPs are active, they will use ISP 1 as the Primary ISP, so that ISP 2 (Backup) will be used when ISP 1 (Primary) is down. After the Load Balancing Technique was implemented, there was an increase in internet quality based on the results of QoS calculations for the internet network at Bapenda Kota Pekanbaru . Before optimization, the QoS test results showed that internet quality was in the "unsatisfactory" category. After optimization, the QoS test results show that the internet quality at BAPENDA is in the "satisfactory" category.
