Perancangan Band Pass Filter Berbasis Substrate Integrated Waveguide (Siw) Untuk Penggunaan 5g-Fr2 Milimeterwave Band
This research presents the design of a 28 GHz bandpass filter with achieving 3.8 GHz bandwidth spanning 25.2 GHz to 29 GHz, targeting to use in 5G FR-2 band applications in the n257 and n258 bands. Implemented on a Rogers RT/duroid 5880 substrate with a dielectric constant of 2.2 and 0.508 mm thickness. The filter demonstrates low insertion loss, excellent impedance matching (VSWR close to 1.0), and strong signal transmission efficiency. Simulations confirm effective field confinement within the Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) structure, minimizing radiation losses. The design achieves -70 dB lower stopband rejection and 20 dB upper stopband rejection, with minor tunable resonances near 31 GHz. Overall, this filter offers a high-performance solution for 5G FR2 applications, covering the n257 and n258 bands efficient.
