Pengaruh Jumlah Produksi, Nilai Tukar Petani (Ntp) Dan Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (Pdrb) Terhadap Penyerapan Tenaga Kerja Subsektor Tanaman Perkebunan Rakyat Kelapa Provinsi Riau Tahun 2012-2023
Exchange Rate (NTP) and Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on Labor Absorption in the Coconut Smallholder Crop Subsector, Riau Province, 2012-2023 Supervised by Dr. Rosyetti, S.E.,M.Si. and Dr. Any Widayatsari, S.E., M.SE
This research examines the role of the coconut plantation subsector in labor absorption in Riau Province. The background to this research is that Riau Province is the largest coconut production center among other provinces, which should make coconut plantations a potential plantation for absorbing labor.
The labor absorption used in the research is the number of workers in the coconut plantation sub-sector of Riau Province in Head of Family (KK) units. The production amount used is the total production of the smallholder coconut plantation subsector in Riau Province in tons. Then the Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) in the research uses the NTP of the smallholder coconut plantation subsector of Riau Province in the index (%) and the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) which uses the GRDP of the Riau Province Plantation subsector in billions.
The research method used is quantitative with multiple linear regression techniques with the ordinary least squares method with the results of the amount of production and NTP having a significant effect with a positive coefficient causing an increase in labor absorption if there is an increase in the amount of production and NTP, while GRDP is not significant with a negative coefficient on labor absorption in the smallholder coconut plantation subsector of Riau Province, which means that the amount of labor absorption will decrease if there is an increase in the GRDP of Riau Province Plantations. The Adjust R-Squared value which shows a contribution of 97.32% and the remaining 2.68% is outside the scope of this research.
The government is expected to provide budget support from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) to increase productivity in the agricultural sector, such as fertilizer subsidies, special allocation funds (DAK) in the agricultural sector, and assistance with agricultural facilities and infrastructure. By increasing the contribution of the agricultural sector, the welfare of farmers as agricultural business actors/agricultural producers is also expected to increase.
