Keanekaragaman Kelapa (Cocos Nucifera L.) Berdasarkan Karakter Agromorfologi Buah Di Kecamatan Bantan, Pulau Bengkalis, Kabupaten Bengkalis
The coconut plant (Cocos nucifera L.) is often called the "Plant of Life" which has social, cultural and economic roles and is also considered a multi-purpose plant. Bantan District, Bengkalis Regency is the largest coconut producer in Riau. Coconut vegetation in Bantan District is found on the coast and on land. The aim of this research is to characterize the diversity of coconut varieties based on agromorphology of fruit in Bantan District, Bengkalis Regency. This research was conducted using an exploratory method. Research data analysis used the NTSys 2.02i F program. Research data was presented in the form of pictures, tables, dendrograms and analyzed descriptively. The research results showed that there were 14 coconut cultivars consisting of five deep-growing cultivars, nine early-maturing cultivars and one hybrid cultivar. Based on the analysis of 26 agromorphological characters, coconut is divided into two main groups A and B with a similarity coefficient value of 0.00 – 0.73.
