Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Attention, Relevance, Confidence, and Satisfaction (ARCS) Untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Proses Sains Peserta Didik Pada Pokok Bahasan Termokimia Kelas XI MIPA 3 SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru
Students' science process skills in chemistry learning will help students develop their thinking so they can prove the theories they have learned from maximum learning. Maximum learning is seen when students have a good understanding of what they have learned. In fact, students' science process skills are still relatively low, which has an impact on students' difficulty in understanding learning well. For this reason, research was carried out with the aim of improving students' science process skills, especially in class XI MIPA 3 SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru by applying the attention, relevance, confidence and satisfaction (ARCS) learning model. The type of research carried out was classroom action research with two cycles, one cycle consisting of 2 meetings. Judging from the results of data analysis on the observation sheet, it was found that the percentage in the aspect of observing was 82,34% (27 students), predicting 82,34% (29 students), hypothesizing 77.88% (23 students), conducting experiments amounted to 92,46% (33 students), and communicating amounted to 79.96% (25 students). Based on the results of this research, it was concluded that the ARCS learning model was able to improve students' science process skills.
