Kandungan Klorofil-A Di Sekitar Damsite Keramba Jaring Apung Waduk Plta Koto Panjang Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau
PLTA Koto Panjang Reservoir is utilised as a power plant and flood control. In addition, this reservoir is also used as a place to cultivate fish with a floating net cage system, as well as a place for fishing activities and tourist attractions. The dense activity in this reservoir will have a negative impact on the balance of ecosystems in the reservoir area caused by waste from human activities. Water fertility can be determined based on indicators of phytoplankton presence. Determination of the presence of phytoplankton can use the concentration of chlorophyll-a which is a pigment that is always found in phytoplankton and the pigment that is directly involved in the photosynthesis process. This study aims to determine the content of chlorophyll-a and determine the water quality conditions of the Koto Panjang Hydroelectric Reservoir. The study used a survey method with the determination of locations at 4 stations. The research parameters observed include chlorophyll-a concentration and other water quality such as temperature, brightness, pH, dissolved oxygen, free carbon dioxide, nitrate and phosphate. The results of the analysis showed that the concentration of chlorophyll-a in the waters of Koto Panjang Hydroelectric Reservoir ranged from 7.693 - 12.927 µg/L, classified in the Eutrophic category. Water quality in Koto Panjang Hydroelectric Reservoir based on pH, Temperature, Transparency, Dissolved Oxygen, Free Carbon Dioxide, and Chlorophyll-a.
