This research aims to analyze the implementation of the authority of Bawaslu Kuantan Singingi Regency in the process of handling administrative violations at the administrative verification stage of political party membership in the 2024 election. This research focuses on three main problems, namely whether administrative violations are handled at the administrative verification stage of political party membership in the year's elections. 2024 by Bawaslu Kuantan Singingi Regency has been completed according to applicable legal provisions. Second, what are the obstacles faced by the Bawaslu of Kuantan Singingi Regency in implementing the handling of administrative violations at the administrative verification stage of political party membership in Kuantan Singingi Regency in 2022, and third, how to apply sanctions to perpetrators of administrative violations at the administrative verification stage of political party membership in Kuantan Singingi Regency in 2022? This research uses sociological juridical research methods, where the collected data is analyzed using sentences linked to existing theories.
The research results show that the handling of administrative violations at the administrative verification stage of political party membership by Bawaslu of Kuantan Singingi Regency is in accordance with applicable legal provisions. The obstacles faced by the Bawaslu of Kuantan Singingi Regency are the reports of the discoverers being vague or unclear (obscuur libel) and limited access to obtain information on the number and members of political parties, which will undergo administrative verification. Constraints on limited human resources (HR) for supervisors at the Bawaslu secretariat, Kuantan Singingi Regency, and obstacles in understanding the procedures for court proceedings. The application of sanctions is not optimal because it is only a written warning. To overcome these obstacles, it is necessary to harmonize regulations, strengthen regulations, increase access, and apply sanctions consistently.
