Pengaruh Sikap Altruisme Terhadap Motivasi Belajar Siswa Kelas VIII Di SMP Negeri 6 Sentajo Raya

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of altruism behavior and activities and their impact on learning motivation in students at SMP Negeri 6 Sentajo Raya. Altruism is defined as a form of behavior of doing good to others without expecting rewards or benefits for oneself. And learning motivation is an encouragement or effort contained in students who become drivers to achieve learning goals.
The formulation of the problem in this study is whether there is an influence of altruism attitudes on the learning motivation of Class VIII students at SMP Negeri 6 Sentajo Raya. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an effect of altruism on the learning motivation of Class VIII students at SMP Negeri 6 Sentajo Raya. With the benefits of research, namely to determine the effect of altruism attitudes on the learning motivation of Class VIII students at SMP Negeri 6 Sentajo Raya and to become a reference, reading source and information for further research and for teachers at SMP Negeri 6 Sentajo Raya in improving the altruism attitude of students. which is related to the discussion of this research.
This study uses a type of quantitative research using data collection methods in the form of documentation and questionnaires with 19 statement items. With the population of this study, namely all VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 6 Sentajo Raya as many as 84 students. The sampling technique in this study is total sampling, namely if the number of respondents is less than 100, the sample is taken all so that the research is population research (Suharsimi Arikunto) so that the number of samples in this study amounted to 84 respondents.
Based on the simple linear regression analysis test, in this study the results obtained are the value of significance (Sig.) of 0.000 ≤ 0.05, so that there is an influence between variable X and variable Y. It is also known that the Ftable value is 3.957 (seen through a confidence level of 95% and a significance level of 5% and a one-way significance test), then the Fcount value of 28.945 ≥ the Ftable value of 3.957 means that between variable X and variable Y has a positive and significant effect. And obtained the value of the correlation coefficient (R) of 0.511 and means that between variable X and variable Y has a correlation with a moderate level with the value of the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.261 or 26.1%, then the influence between variable X on variable Y is 26.1% while 73.9% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
