Prarancangan Pabrik Green Hydrogen Dengan Teknologi Membrane Reactor Dengan Desain Alat Utama Pressure Swing Adsorption (Psa-301)
ABSTRACT
Hydrogen (H2) is the first and lightest element in the periodic table and the most abundant in the universe. When used as fuel, hydrogen has the highest energy content, the lowest volume density, and the lowest buoyancy. Green hydrogen is considered more effective because it does not produce emissions (zero emission). Moreover, using renewable energy sources can support sustainable product development and the advancement of energy in the country. In this preliminary plant design, green hydrogen is produced using the gasification process and is enriched with a membrane water gas shift reactor. The plant is designed with a capacity of 12 tons per hour. The plant is located in the Dumai industrial area. The main raw material for the process is palm biomass. The main product produced is Green Hydrogen. Based on the overall evaluation of the plant design's economic analysis, a breakeven point of 37.32%, a payback period of 2.82 years, and an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 39.2% were obtained. Based on this economic evaluation, the green hydrogen plant from palm biomass using membrane reactor technology is feasible to be established.
