Uji Konsentrasi Nematoda Entomopatogen Steinernema Carpocapsae Lokal Terhadap Ulat Jengkal Tanaman Kedelai Chrysodeixis Chalcites Esper
ABSTRACT
Chrysodeixis chalcites is an important pest of Glycine max. The study aimed to obtain the best concentration of local entomopathogenic nematode S. carpocapseae against mortality of C. chalcites. The research was conducted at the Plant Pest Laboratory, Facultyof Agriculture, Riau University from March to May 2024. This research has been carried out by using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of five treatments and four replicates. The treatments used were local S. carpocapsae concentrations of 0 JI.ml-1 aquades, 300 JI.ml-1 aquades, 600 JI.ml-1 aquades, 900 JI.ml-1 aquades and 1200 JI.ml-1 aquades. Data were analyzed statistically by analysis of variance and further test with 5% level of Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT). The observation parameters consisted of entomopathogenic nematode identification, initial time of death (hours), lethal time 50 (hours) and total mortality (%). The results showed that entomopathogenic nematodes derived from the species Steinernema carpocapsae. The concentration of local S. carpocapsae 900 JI.ml-1 aquades was the best concentration on the mortality of C. chalcites because it was able to cause total mortality of 85% within 72 hours, lethal time 50 within 51 hours and intial time of death within 24 hours.
