Perencanaan Pemanenan Air Hujan (Pah) Untuk Memenuhi Kebutuhan Air Minum Skala Individu Di Kecamatan Bunga Raya, Kabupaten Siak
Bunga Raya District is an area predominantly characterized by peatland, where the groundwater quality is reddish-brown, has a taste, odor, and high iron content. This makes it unsuitable for daily drinking water needs. Besides the poor groundwater quality, the Bunga Raya District is not fully serviced by the government’s drinking water supply system. Therefore, an alternative solution is needed to support the fulfillment of drinking water needs using Rainwater Harvesting technology through the Raincycle Standard V2.0 program. With the support of the Raincycle Standard V2.0 program, which is based on the rainwater falling to the ground (roof’s drip) as the boundary of the rainwater catchment area, and the water needs calculated based on the number of family members in each house type. This program aims to meet the drinking water needs in Bunga Raya District, Siak Regency. The catchment area sizes representing houses in Bunga Raya District are 120 m², 108 m², 72 m² using 2 tanks and 2 infiltration wells, while the catchment area sizes of 45 m² and 36 m² use 2 tanks and 1 infiltration well. The Budget Plan for a house of 120 m² and 108 m² is IDR 23,000,000, for a house of 72 m² is IDR 17,800,000, and for a house of 45 m² and 36 m² is IDR 9,000,000. The results of rainwater quality testing do not exceed the standard quality except for the parameters of Total Coliform and E. coli. To reduce the levels of Total Coliform and E. coli, biological treatment is carried out through disinfection by adding chlorine compounds (Chlorine tube).
