Pengembangan Desain Produk Mesin Perontok Padi Multifungsi Dengan Metode Quality Function Deployment (Qfd)
Threshing rice is an important stage in agriculture, especially in rice production. In its implementation at the research case study site, the community in Siambaton Julu village, Pakkat District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, North Sumatra generally still uses manual threshing machines which are considered to still need to be developed. The aim is to be able to develop designs for multi-functional rice threshing machines using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method, from the preparation stage to the production stage so that the design and development process of rice threshing machines is tailored to the needs and desires of consumers. The research was carried out by collecting data by distributing questionnaires directly to 15 respondens in Siambaton Julu Village, Pakkat District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, North Sumatra. In this research, several attributes were obtained through the voice of customer, namely safety, ease of use, low price, comfort, not easily damaged, easy to move, minimalist size and aesthetic value and pleasing to the eye. Based on the QFD results, the product engineering response priorities were obtained, namely tool mechanism, flatbed mechanism, tool shape, tool dimensions, flatbed shape, flatbed material, tool material, machine frame material, tool weight, hopper shape, and rice threshing machine color. . Development of high priority attributes will encourage consumer satisfaction.
