Efektivitas Penggunaan Media Video Dalam Penulisan Teks Berita Siswa Kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Tembilahan

This research is motivated by the ability of students to write news that is still not known for sure. Most students only write news that is already available on the internet when given the task of writing a story. This does not show the ability of students to write new news. By using video media students can record the content of the news and recreate the news video of the surrounding situation. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of video media in writing news texts. This type of research is a quantitative research with an experimental design. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Tembilahan. The population in the study was 97 students in grade XI of SMA Negeri 2 Tembilahan. The sampling technique used was Simple Random Sampling so that class XI MIPA 1 was chosen as the control class while class XI MIPA 2 was chosen as the experimental class with a sample of 62 people. The data collection technique in this study uses a test instrument. Data analysis uses the t-test technique of two independent samples. The results of the study obtained a calculated t-value of 4.682, and a significance value of 0.000
