EFISIENSI ABSORBER PADA PROSES ABSORPSI DI CHLORINE DIOXIDE PLANT #1 PT RAPP
Klorin dioksida (CIO2) is a chemical used as a bleaching agent in the pulp bleaching
process. At PT RAPP's Integrated CIO2 Plant, CIO2 solution with a concentration of
10 ± 0.2 g/L is obtained through the CIO2 gas absorption process, with chilled water
as the absorbent in the absorber. The concentration of the desired solution is
determined by how efficiently the absorption process occurs. This research aims to
determine the efficiency value of the absorption process that occurs in Absorber #2
plant #1 using the linear regression analysis method. From the results of the analysis
that has been carried out, CIO2 is obtained, a solution with a concentration of 10 g/L
at a production rate of 100%, a chilled water flow rate of 99.4 m3/hr, a gas
concentration of 10.3 g/L, an Absorber inlet pressure of - 1.22 kPa, chilled water
temperature of 7.4°C, and gas temperature of 50.9°C. Meanwhile, the efficiency of the
absorption process in Absorber #2 plant #1 was obtained at 98.15% with a CIO
concentration, the resulting solution was 10 g/L.
