PENGARUH FLOW DRINE & FLOW BaCI2 TERHADAP KADAR Na2SO4 DI BRINE TREATMENT
Brine treatment system is the purification process of salt solutions from impurities
or dirt contained in the salt solution. It is used to keep the cell electrolyzer where
the electrolysis process occurs. The research was carried out to determine the
influence of flow brine in saturator or salt solution and flow barium chloride
(BaCl2) on the levels of sodium sulfate. (Na2SO4). The raw material used is a
crystal-shaped salt that will be dissolved and then removed impurities or distillers
such as Ca2+, Mg2+
, SO4
and Fe2+. The concentration of the salt solution used to
produce NaOH dichlor alkali plant is preserved 300 ± 5 gpl. The flow variation of
brine is taken from load 87 on different days whereas the initial flow variations of
barium chloride (BaCl2) are 0.4-80,54 m3/h and the final flow variance of baryum
chloroid (Ba Cl2) is 0.52-0,57 m3/hour. In a sample of 10 flow brine in saturators
60.9 m3/h, a sodium sulfate content of 8.51 gpl was obtained and 2 flow brines in
saturator samples of 65.6 m3/hour were obtaining sodium Sulfate levels of 7.34 gpl.
Flow brine dissaturators did not have much influence on the amount of sodium
sulfate that was obtained. In the initial flow sample, the sodium chloride sodium
concentration was more than 7 gpl, and the final in flow of barium chloride was
less than 7 gpl.
