ANALISA PENGARUH PERUBAHAN BEBAN TERHADAP KARAKTERISTIK GENERATOR SINKRON PADA PT. PLTU TENAYAN
Synchronous generators are a type of electric machine that functions to
produce alternating voltage by converting mechanical energy into electrical
energy. The operation of generators must be stable to ensure optimal performance.
This stability can be influenced by several factors, including load, armature
current, excitation voltage, power losses, and others. Load changes also cause
instability in the generator, affecting its efficiency. This study analyzes the effect of
load changes on the characteristics of synchronous generators at PT. PLTU
Tenayan. The analysis aims to understand the impact of selected parameters on the
synchronous generator's characteristics. The parameters selected as
characteristics of the generator are armature current, excitation voltage, power
losses, and efficiency. Load changes in the generator affect the calculation results
of each characteristic parameter. Increasing load changes lead to increased power
losses, resulting in decreased generator efficiency. This research has also been
compared with other research which has the same work characteristics, which
means this test is valid.
