PRARANCANGAN PABRIK CAPROLACTAM DARI SIKLOHEKSANA PROSES BECKMANN DENGAN DESAIN ALAT UTAMA REAKTOR PHOTONITROSATION (R-101)
Imports of caprolactam for domestic fulfillment have reached 30,000 to 35,000 tons
per year over the last five years. Caprolactam is produced using the Toyo Rayon
Photonitrosation process which converts cyclohexane into cyclohexanone oxime
through an oximation reaction between cyclohexane and nitrosyl chloride in a
photonitrosation reactor (R-101), then reacted again with trifluoroacetic acid via
a Beckmann arrangement in a Beckmann reactor (R-102) and separated to get the
caprolactam product in the distillation tower (MD-101). A study regarding the
feasibility of building a caprolactam factory is needed to analyze the feasibility of
investment. Financial analysis is carried out based on NPV, IRR, ROI, PBP, BEP
and sensitivity criteria. The study results show that a caprolactam factory with a
production capacity of 30,000 tons/year is feasible to build. Based on a nonfinancial analysis covering market, environment, management and law, there are
no obstacles preventing the construction and operation of the factory. The results
of the financial analysis show that factory construction can be carried out with an
NPV value of IDR 22,822,364,819; ROI 69.04%; PBP 1.37 years; BEP 61.4%; and
an IRR of 22.76% which is higher than the BRI Bank RRR value (2.25%) so that
this caprolactam factory is suitable to continue to the development stage.
