OPTIMALISASI DAYA PEMBANGKIT PHOTOVOLTAIC BERBASIS ALGORITMA P&O SEBAGAI SUMBER ENERGI MESIN PARUT DAN PERAS KELAPA
Coconut is a fruit that has many benefits, so you need a tool to grate and
squeeze the fruit. An electric motor is a tool that is very suitable for making these
tools but requires quite a lot of energy. Solar energy is a natural resource that has
a very large impact and is suitable as energy that can drive electric motors.
Photovoltaic (PV) cells are an alternative energy source technology that can
convert solar energy into electrical energy. However, this photovoltaic has several
weaknesses, one of which is that the voltage output is unstable so it cannot directly
supply the battery. In this research, we will design a tool in the MATLab application
that can maximize the output of photovoltaics using the Maximum Power Point
Tracking (MPPT) technique with the P&O algorithm. This technique works by
setting the duty cycle value that will be distributed to the buck converter circuit.
The duty cycle of this research is stable at a value of 0.44 so that it succeeds in
producing an output voltage of 25.9 V-26 V so that it can supply energy to the
battery. The amount of power required by an electric motor for 5 hours of work a
day is 3,75 kW and the amount of power produced by solar radiation which
fluctuates from 200 W/m2
– 1000 W/m2
is 4,405 kW which can supply the energy
needed by the electric motor. This research has also been compared with other
research which has the same work characteristics, which means this test is valid.
