METAFORA HEWAN KARNIVORA PADA PERIBAHASAMELAYU (KAJIAN SEMANTIK KOGNITIF)
This study aims to classify conceptual metaphors and describe image schemes in carnivorous animal metaphors in Malay proverbs contained in the Malay Persuratan Referral Center (PRPM) portal through cognitive semantic studies. The benefits of this research are (1) the theoretical benefits of the results of this study are expected to be useful for the development of linguistics, especially as a contribution to the findings for the development of the discipline of anthropological linguistics and is expected to provide additional insight for the author regarding proverbs in Malay. (2) Practical Benefits The results of this study are expected to be a portrait of the development of the language and culture of the Indonesian nation and are expected to increase public awareness. Then the research is expected to be a source of data if you want to do the same research on carnivorous animal metaphors in Malay proverbs and from the perspective of scientific studies, the results of this study can realize scientific work in the form of a thesis. The data and data sources obtained in this study are in the form of metaphorical expressions of Malay proverbs related to carnivorous animals obtained from the Malay Persuratan Referral Center (PRPM) portal. The data collection technique in this research is documentation technique. The method used is descriptive in the form of words and language. The data analysis technique in this study uses data reduction techniques, data presentation and conclusion affirmation. Based on the research results, there are 3 types of conceptual metaphors, namely, (1) structural metaphors; (2) ontological metaphors; and (3)
orientational metaphors. In the image scheme, there are 6 image schemes, namely, (1) space; (2) force; (3) unity/multiplicity; (4) countainers; (5) scale; and (6) existence.
