Intertekstualitas Syair Raja Damsyik Karya Haji Ibrahim Datuk Kaya Muda Riau

This research aims to describe the text transformation in Syair Raja Damsyik by Haji Ibrahim Datuk Kaya Muda Riau which is the result of the transformation of literary works from the saga genre to the poetry genre in the books Hikayat Raja Damsyik by Haji Ibrahim Datuk Kaya Muda Riau and Syair Raja Damsyik by Haji Ibrahim Datuk Rich Young Riau. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive research methods. This research uses intertextual theory. From the results and analysis of text transformation, changes in text form have been found in the expansion aspect, conversion aspect, modification aspect, and exerp aspect. This aspect is analyzed based on the intrinsic elements in the saga texts and poetry texts of King Damascus, namely theme, plot, setting, characters and characterization, point of view, language style and message. The data obtained is the first based on the expansion aspect, data obtained on the intrinsic elements of the poetry point of view. Second is the conversion aspect, data is obtained from the intrinsic elements, namely the plot. The third aspect is the modification of the data obtained from the intrinsic elements, namely the language style in the poetry of King Damascus. The fourth aspect is exerp data obtained from intrinsic elements, namely theme, setting, characters and characterization, point of view and message. The author found that the most abundant or dominant data was data obtained from the experiential aspect of the intrinsic elements of theme, setting, characters and characterization, point of view and message.
