Analisis Kemampuan Membaca Pemahaman Cerita Fiksi Pada Siswa Kelas Tinggi SD Negeri 103 Pekanbaru
This research was motivated by students problems in understanding reading. Students still appear doubtful and confused regarding understanding the content and conclusions of the reading material they read. This research aims to describe the ability to read and understand fiction stories in high class students at SD Negeri 103 Pekanbaru. This research is a type of quantitative descriptive research. The research subjects used in this research were high class students at SD Negeri 103 Pekanbaru, totaling 75 students. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the ability to read and understand fiction stories in high class students at SD Negeri 103 Pekanbaru out of the 75 students used as research samples There are no students in the very good category, there are 9 students in the good category, 30 students in the fair category, 36 students in the poor category with an average score of 52 in the fair category. With the indicator values obtained as follows, the theme indicators are in the poor category with an average of 45. The character and characterization indicators are in the sufficient category with an average of 59. The background indicators are in the sufficient category with an average of 66. The plot indicators are in the poor category with an average of 39. The mandate indicator is in the sufficient category with an average of 51. The overall ability of students with an average of 52 in the sufficient category, shows that the overall ability to read and understand fiction stories of high class students at SD Negeri 103 Pekanbaru is sufficient.
