Uji Sitotoksik Ekstrak Teripang Berunok (Paracaudinaaustralis)Terhadapselkankerpayudara(T47D)
This study aims to determine the starch yield and extract yield of sea cucumber (P. australis), a bioactive chemical compound in the extract of the sea cucumber, and to evaluate the cytotoxic activity of the extract of P. australis against breast cancer cells (T47D). The research method used in this study was experimental, conducted through laboratory work that included preparation of sea cucumber raw materials, extraction of sea cucumber, qualitative analysis of bioactive compounds, and cytotoxicity testing. The parameters analyzed were the yield of sea cucumber flour and extract, the qualitative analysis of bioactive compounds, and the cytotoxic activity of the sea cucumber extract using the MTT assay. The results of the study indicate that the extract of P. australis contains bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, terpenoids, and saponins. In addition, the extract exhibited cytotoxic activity against breast cancer cells (T47D). The IC50 value for the extract of P. australis was 34.19 μg/mL, classifying it as active cytotoxic.
