Pengaruh Penambahan Kitosan Dari Kulit Udang Vannamei (Litopenaeus vannamei) Pada Pakan Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Kecernaan Ikan Nila (Oreochromis niloticus)
Chitosan from vannamei shrimp shells has the potential to be a attractant for tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). Apart from that, chitosan can also improve the growth performance and digestibility of several fish species. This research aims to determine the effect of adding chitosan to feed on the growth rate and digestibility of tilapia. The research method used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications. Fish were fed with chitosan amounts of 0%, 1%, 2%, 3% and 4%. This research was conducted for 56 days. The 525 fish seeds used were sized 2,50±0,41 g and 15 units were reared in floating net cages measuring 1x1x1 m3. Feed was given at 10% of the fish biomass weight with a frequency of 3 times a day, namely at 08.00 AM, 01.00 PM and 05.00 PM. The results showed that the addition of chitosan to feed had a significant effect (P
