Keanekaragaman Nepenthes Di Desa Tanjung Kuras, Kecamatan Sungai Apit, Kabupaten Siak, Provinsi Riau Dan Potensi Mikroba Endofit Pada Daunnya
Nepenthes is one of the unique diversity in Indonesia. Nepenthes is able to live in nutrient-poor acidic soils such as peat. The uniqueness of Nepenthes lies at the tip of its leaves as a plant modification in meeting nutritional needs by forming pockets. Nepenthes is widely used by the community as a medicinal plant such as the leaves as antidysentery. Endophytic microbes are microorganisms that are able to live in plant tissues and are thought to have the same metabolite compounds as their host plants. The purpose of this study was to examine the diversity of Nepenthes found in Tanjung Kuras Village, Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency, Riau Province and the potential of endophytic microbes found in its leaves. Sampling was done by exploration. Morphological characters were observed and the data were entered in a table and then scored and analyzed using the NTSys pc
2.02 application to obtain a coefficient matrix and dendrogram. Isolation of microbes by direct method on fresh Nepenthes leaves and tested the antibacterial ability of endophytic microbes contained in the leaves against the pathogen E.coli. The results of the study obtained 4 types of Nepenthes (N. reinwardtiana, N. ampularia, N. gracilis, N. mirabilis). The dendrogram results are divided into 2 large groups I and II with a coefficient value range of 0.07-0.82. Dendrogram shows grouping based on stem, leaf, bag and tendril characters. The isolation results obtained 4 endophytic microbial isolates from the 4 species of Nepenthes consisting of 2 endophytic bacterial isolates and 2 endophytic actinomycetes isolates and no endophytic fungi were obtained. The results of antibacterial ability test with agar diffusion method against E.coli were diverse. Endophytic bacterial isolate BDKS2 and endophytic actinomycetes isolate ADKS1 were the isolates with the largest inhibition zone diameter of 10.99 mm and 16.06 mm, respectively.
