Lung cancer is the most common cause of death in Indonesia. Lung cancer sufferers are at risk of developing superior vena cava syndrome (SVCS). SVCS is a medical condition when the superior vena cava, which is the main blood vessel responsible for carrying blood from the upper part of the body back to the heart, experiences blockage or narrowing and causes disturbing symptoms such as more clearly visible blood vessels, shortness of breath, chest pain, and swelling on the face, neck, and upper arms. This research is a descriptive study with method involved taking medical record data of lung cancer patients with SVCS at Arifin Achmad Regional Hospital from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2023. There were 31 lung cancer patients with SVCS, it was found that the majority were men (93.5%) and were dominated by the group aged 41-60 years (67.7%). The distribution of patients based on work location was found to be mostly working outdoors (77.4%) and many patients were heavy smokers (71%). The most common type of lung cancer is non-small cell lung cancer (74.2%) and 4A (54.8%) is the dominant stage. The most common SVCS stage was Grade 2 moderate (64.5%).
