Aplikasi Absensi Karyawan Dengan Metode Geofence Berbasis Android Pada Pt Wahanakarsa Swandiri

ABSTRACT
This research aims to develop an Android-based employee attendance application using the Geofence method at PT Wahanakarsa Swandiri. The main problem faced by this company is a manual attendance System that is prone to manipulation and inefficient in monitoring employee attendance, especially for those who work in project locations that change frequently. This application is designed to improve the accuracy and efficiency of attendance data collection by utilizing Geofence technology that ensures employees can only take attendance when they are in a designated location. In addition to the Geofence feature, this application also features a QR code that is Used to validate attendance data and reduce the possibility of fraud. The application development methodology Uses a prototype approach, which starts from the communication stage to identify company needs, then followed by a quick design that includes User case diagrams and activity diagrams. The initial design was then implemented in the form of wireframes and mockups made using figma. Furthermore, prototyping is done using the Android Studio application becaUse the application is built based on Android with the Kotlin programming language and PostgreSQL as the database . Application testing was carried out based on the ISO 25010 standard which includes eight aspects: functionality, Reliability, efficiency, portability, Maintainability, Compatibility, Security, and Usability. The test results show that this application functions well in all these aspects. This application is expected to overcome the problem of manual attendance, increase the effectiveness and accuracy of employee attendance data, and support company decision making based on more accurate and reliable attendance data.
