Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Menulis Cerita Pendek Berbantuan Bot Telegram Kelas XI SMK
This thesis is titled The Development of Teaching Materials for Short Story Writing Assisted by Telegram Bot for 11th Grade Vocational High School Students. The study was motivated by the need for innovative teaching materials in Indone-sian language instruction, particularly to enhance the short story writing skills of 11th-grade vocational high school students.
The purpose of this research is to develop experience-based teaching materi-als that can improve students' creative writing skills. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method, using the 4D development model, which includes the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. These stages encompass needs analysis, learner analysis, curriculum analysis, product design, expert validation, field testing, and dissemination. The teaching materials were de-veloped using an experiential learning approach and utilized a Telegram bot as a learning medium. Expert validation ensured the quality of the teaching materials.
The results of the study indicate that experience-based teaching materials uti-lizing a Telegram bot significantly improved students' creative writing skills. Stu-dents demonstrated substantial progress in understanding, analyzing, and produc-ing short story texts. The learning process became more interactive and relevant. Moreover, the teaching materials successfully attracted students’ interest and in-creased their participation in learning activities.
In conclusion, the development of experience-based teaching materials inte-grating technology, particularly through the use of a Telegram bot in short story writing instruction, has proven effective in enhancing students' creative writing skills. These teaching materials not only encourage students to produce higher-quality works but also provide opportunities for them to develop creativity, critical thinking, and innovation in expressing their ideas. Furthermore, the use of technol-ogy such as Telegram bots fosters an interactive, dynamic, and relevant learning experience for today’s digital generation. This study highlights that innovative ap-proaches combining technology and learning can not only improve academic out-comes but also positively impact students’ learning motivation, create a more en-gaging learning environment, and prepare students to face the challenges of the modern world.
