Pilihan Rasional Perempuan Bekerja Sebagai Barista Di One Alumni Coffee Pekanbaru

This research was conducted at One Alumni Coffee, Riau University, FEB, JL. Bina Widya No.KM 12, Simpang Baru, Pekanbaru City which aims to find out the rational choice of women working as baristas at One Alumni Coffee and find out the activities of female baristas at One Alumni Coffee. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. This research uses homogeneous sampling technique by taking five research subjects, consisting of 3 informants and 2 key informants. In collecting data using interview techniques, observation and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The theory used is the theory of Rational Choice according to James Samuel Coleman. The results of this study are the two main elements in Coleman's theory, namely actors and resources. Actors here are women who have a certain goal who choose barista as their job. While resources here are factors that influence a woman's decision to choose to work as a barista. Such as a lifestyle that likes to hang out in cafes, wants to learn about coffee, has an interest in a similar field, flexible working hours so that they can continue to carry out their duties as students. The activities in question are women's activities at home before going to work as a barista and women's activities in carrying out work as a barista at One Alumni Coffee Pekanbaru.
