This research was conducted in Padang Tanggung Village, Pangean District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. There are several objectives of the research: 1.To find out the role of BUMDes in the management of Jai-jai raok beach. 2 to find out the efforts to maintain sustainability by BUMDes. 3.To find out the things that hinder the role of BUMDes in carrying out their duties in the management of Jai-jai raok beach. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method involving 4 informants: 1 BUMDes members, 1 local community, 1 local youth, and 1 tuo banjar. The inclusion of subjects in this study uses purposive techniques and data collection techniques using observation, interview and documentation techniques. The results of this study show that BUMDes Rajo Bujang as the manager of Jai-jai Raok beach tourism has a role and task to manage the potential in Padang Panjang Village, Pangean District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The normative roles that arise in the implementation in the field are a) the role of education about the preservation of natural resources b) the role of control as supervision of tourism operations c) the role of information as an information service related to tourist areas. The progress of tourism potential management greatly affects the performance carried out by BUMDES as the Jai-jai Raok tourism manager. The obstacles that are very felt in the process of managing this tourism are found in the lack of skills and understanding of members in carrying out their duties as well as the obstacles that are felt by the lack of support from the government and obstacles also come from natural disasters.
