Averrhoa bilimbi is an herbal plant that contains saponins, flavonoids, alkaloids and tannins as antibacterials that can inhibit bacterial growth.This research was conducted from March to September 2024 at the Laboratory of Fish Parasites and Diseases, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Riau University. The objective of this research was to analyze the liver and intestine structure of Pangasianodon hypophthalmus fed with A. bilimbi extract enriched pellets and infected with Edwadsiella tarda. The method used was experiment with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replicates. The treatment were Kn (no A. bilimbi extract), Kp (no A. bilimbi extract and E. tarda infection), addition of A. bilimbi extract dose 5 (P1); 10 (P2)and 15 (P3) mL/kg and infected with E. tarda. Fish measuring 8-10 cm are kept in an aquarium measuring 40x30x30 cm for 46th day and challenged with E. tarda on the 32nd day with a bacterial density of 108 CFU/mL and 0,1 mL/fish. The results shown that Kn there were no abnormalities in liver structure of P. hypophthalmus. The liver structure in Kp were hypertrophy, hemorrhage, necrosis and fatty degeneration. The best dose was found which (P2) 10 mL/kg of fed. Based on the data, it can be concluded that A. bilimbi extract can improve the structure of the liver and intestine of P. hypophthalmus after being challenged with E. tarda.
