Pemanfaatan Beberapa Bioherbisida Untuk Mengendalikan Gulma Borreria Kayu (Hedyotis verticillata)
Weed problems in forestry generally occur in industrial plantation forest management. One of the dominant weed species in industrial plantation forests (HTI) is Hedyotis verticillata weed. One alternative to weed control is using bioherbicides because they are made from natural ingredients. Forestry plants that can be used as bioherbicides are ketapang, acacia and mahogany because they contain allelopathic compounds. The content of allelopathic compounds in ketapang, mahogany and acacia leaf extracts can be used to control Hedyotis verticillata weeds. The method used is RAL consisting of four treatments and five replicates. The concentration used in this study was 50% concentration (100 grams / 200 ml of water). The research was conducted in the Experimental Garden and Forestry Laboratory, Riau University. The parameters observed were early weed death, weed mortality and weed poisoning intensity. Acacia leaf, ketapang leaf and mahogany leaf extracts as bioherbicides have a significant effect in inhibiting the growth of Hedyotis verticillata weeds. Bioherbicide of the three leaf extracts used, the most effective for controlling Hedyotis verticillata weed is ketapang leaf extract with 50% weed mortality and 86.73% weed poisoning intensity.
Keywords: Bioherbicide, Hedyotis verticillata Weed, Mortality, Weed Toxicity Intensity
